Sourcing planning

What activities are viable for outsourcing and what should be performed internally?

Within the sourcing planning, strategically decisions are made and the first preparations are initiated to outsource activities. In the audit phase, Bache has critically evaluated your business and company situation, through internal and external analyses in which your competences are reviewed.

In the sourcing phase, the planning is established. Bache defines together with you different strategic options of outsourcing. For the different options, Bache establishes profound business cases. A business case consists of an analysis of expenses and profits for the different alternatives, including a risk analysis, and internal business impact of the to be outsourced activities.

Based on the business case, a project plan is formulated. In this plan, Bache uses it’s own experience and knowledge from other outsourced projects. Thereby Bache includes the different risks that are involved and state measures in order to overcome the risks. In this way you will get a realistic plan and you are able to take preventive measures against risks.

Sourcing planning

Bache supports you in this phase in:

Executing a ‘sourcing scan’ - What would you like and what is possible to outsource?
Establishing a ‘business case’ - What is the return on outsourcing investments?
Establishing a ‘project plan’ - How does the outsourcing path look like in order to find the right provider?

The first activities are taken to source resources elsewhere. The next step of the sourcing process is the procurement phase.
